A summer scene in Moosonee. Many Crees of the Moosonee and Moose Factory area owned freighter canoes to ferry southern tourists and community members between both communities. The summer tourist arrivals provided a supplement financial boom for many Cree men who could use their canoe and river navigation skills for profit. Also at the dock is the popular Beaver aircraft.Tags
